Body Conditioning and Yoga on Sunday

Service Description

Purchasing this pass means you can come to both Body Conditioning and Yoga on a weekend of your choosing. There is no need to book into classes separately but know that you are checked in for a weekend double class of fun! BODY CONDITIONING 9.15-9.55AM All you need is a mat (e.g. yoga mat) and a couple of your own dumbbells or hand weights (we also have all the equipment you would need in the studio too) this total body workout, focusing on strengthening the whole body - including the core! Why come? After the age of 30 women in particular, start to lose muscle mass if they remain inactive at a rate of 3-5% per decade, so think of this as a way to maintain muscle mass rather than 'bulking up'. Let's be honest though this kind of training is beneficial for EVERYONE! Regularly working your muscles can also increase bone density which can in turn reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis in later life. Finally.... increasing muscle mass will also speed up your metabolism, enabling you to burn calories faster in everyday life. What is not to love about 'Body Conditioning' with me?! If you are a complete beginner, you will be taught the basics, but if you are more advanced, you just need to use heavier weights and set yourself the challenge. YOGA FLOW WITH ALI 10.00-11.00AM Ali's fitness based approach to yoga, will help you to build flexibility, endurance and strength through a moving meditation. Classes will have a flowing 'vinyasa' style where the focus is on the flow from one pose to the next, rather than approaching each pose on its own. Ali invites all abilities to her classes and can help you find a flow that will suit your body and explore your own challenges. We Always end with a 5-10 minute relaxation process to leave you feeling relaxed and centred. There will be no class on Sunday 2nd November due to half term. If you are booking via the Spaces app you are consenting to the below by participating: I am aware of my own health and physical condition, and having knowledge that my participation in any exercise programme may be injurious to my health, I am voluntarily participating in a physical activity.
